Experiment 2: Bluetooth Device Discovery Competition

The lab report is due 12/7 at the lab

*You will keep the device between 11/20 to 11/30. Please take care of the equipments and don't bring it out of the town (for example, when you go home for Thanksgiving)*

** Everyone should turn in the device on 11/30 before 6PM to the lab, so that the trace can be posted on the web during the weekend, and you can start working on the bonus part if you want!**

Here is the trace (in zipped file) collected by you through the week. If you want to do the post-processing (the bonus part) please download it and start working on it. Each line in the trace has 4 fields: <[Encounter-device-MAC] (unique)>. Also note that the time in the trace is in PST (due to some error in the formatting), hence if it says 6AM it should be 9AM local time.

For the post-processing of the trace (the extra-credit part) you will need the following information:

Thanks to all for participating in the competition! The scores turned out to be very close! The first place team scored 310 points (plus 50 points for the mass discovery Thursday, so the total score is 360 for the winner). The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place scored 284, 278, 267 points, respectively.

The Winner is the team who used device #5... That is Mr. Peter Tebow and his teamates. Congratulations!
